Strokes: A Left and Right Sided Comparison

Strokes of the left and right sides of the brain are common and pose a challenge for nurses in the acute care setting. These strokes produce some obvious symptoms like speech impairment and some not-so-obvious symptoms such as impulsivity. This course teaches what a one-sided stroke is and how to tell the difference between a left- and right-sided stroke. It also reviews nursing interventions for helping patients with left- and right-sided strokes.
