The use of telehealth expands an individual's access to healthcare without leaving their home. Some people may find it difficult to go to a healthcare provider’s office due to physical or emotional health declines. This course will discuss the benefits of using telehealth for individuals in a home setting. It will also discuss the nurse's role in telehealth including the assessment, documentation, and management of the client. Without the use of telehealth, individuals may experience anxiety of going to the provider's office, fear of not understanding what the provider is saying, and possible exposure to infectious illnesses.
