Marijuana and Cannabinoids: Effects and Potential Medicinal Uses

Marijuana can have negative impacts on your body including the brain, lungs, and cardiovascular system. These negative impacts can be particularly significant on the developing brains of adolescents. Recently, however, questions have been raised about what possible beneficial uses of marijuana may be for relieving symptoms associated with certain diseases and illnesses. Due to limitations on the ability to perform research studies on marijuana, there has been a lack of evidence-based research on the potential health benefits of marijuana.
